Shakugan no Shana Episode 03

"The Torch and the Flame Haze" (トーチとフレイムヘイズ, Tōchi to Fureimu Heizu^?) is the third episode is the anime series Shakugan no Shana. Shana uses the leftovers of Yukari Hirai's Power of Existence to keep an eye on Yuji. Later, Friagne and Marianne fight against Shana when Shana and Friagne first meet.

Summary[]

With Yukari Hirai having disappeared, Shana, using the leftover Power of Existence of Hirai, joined Yuji's class in her place in order to keep an eye on him. Yuji was shocked when he saw her in class and when he found out that she used Hirai's leftover Power of Existence to keep an eye on him. In class, she did something unexpected - criticizing the teachers in class. This behavior caused her to complained by the teacher in the office.

Friagne-marianne — Friagne and Marianne.

Meanwhile, in the Yoda Department Store, Marianne wanted to get the Mystes for the Treasure Tool. She didn't want to just be loved by Friagne - she wanted to show her love to him as well. Friagne allowed her to fight the Flame Haze for the Mystes. After that, Shana went out to buy melon bread and eat it on the roof top while Yuji stayed in class, thinking about something. Later, the same Rinne from before, using the Regular Sharp, attacked Shana once more. Friagne showed up to heal Marianne and Regular Sharp, talk to Alastor and Shana before leaving. Yuji shared his Power of Existence so Shana could repair the damages without sacrificing any of the classmates.

Lamies-arrived — Lamies come to Misaki City.

Later, in the night, Shana and Alastor talked about Yuji's action. Yuji apologized about scolding Shana and brought her a hot coffee. As Shana drank it, she complained that coffee was bitter and that she wanted sugar. After Shana put in more sugar, she wanted a spoon. She noticed Yuji's Torch restored in the midnight on that same day when he went down the ladder to take a spoon to stir the coffee.

Meanwhile, an old man (who is later revealed as Lamies) reached Misaki City and consumed a nearby Torch that was going to disappear. On the other side of the city, a Flame Haze named Margery Daw together with her contracted Crimson Lord, Marchosias reached the city. In Yoda Department Store, Friagne sensed the presence of another Flame Haze in the city.
