Chorde (コルデー Korudē?) is a Treasure Tool in the shape of a set of dozens of rings, which was originally in the possession of "Gravel of Dashing Crook" Kasha.

Background[]

The rings can be freely controlled by loading them with Power of Existence.[2] The color of the user's Flame fills the rings' jewels and makes them fly, allowing them to be fired at enemies as bullets and cause explosions. The Chorde rings themselves are not destroyed in any explosions they create. The user's will is the only thing necessary to operate them, so they are suitable for long-distance attacks. After being fired as bullets, the user can change their trajectory and can have them return to their hand.

It was once used by Kasha as a weapon. In Zoetrope, Kasha was in Eastern Europe, devouring humans as he pleased. He was confronted by the girl with flaming hair and burning eyes, who was being trained by Sophie Sawallisch. He fought her with Chorde, his personal Treasure Tool, but was easily destroyed by her.[3] In the anime, he was seen in Misaki City instead of Europe, but he was destroyed by Shana in a similar manner to Zoetrope.[4] In both cases, Chorde was left behind after Kasha's destruction.

Later, Chorde was revealed to be safely kept by Shana in her coat, Yogasa. As Chorde was originally a Treasure Tool to be fired with an Unrestricted Spell Insignia loaded into it, it is thought that Shana stored it away as she was poor with Unrestricted Spells and wouldn't be able to use it. In the Final Battle of Misaki City, Shana loaded the modified Psalm of the Grand Order into Chorde and tried to modify the Psalm of the Grand Order cocoon enclosing Hecate, which was in the process of creating the New World Xanadu, but she was obstructed by its Tyrant defensive mechanism. Later in the battle, Shana struck the Psalm of the Grand Order cocoon with a Shinku fist holding the rings, incorporating the modifying Unrestricted Spell Insignia into the Egg of the New World.

Before the Final Battle of Misaki City, Shana had given several Chorde rings to Margery Daw,[5] and it was thought that they could be used as communication devices between this world and the New World.
