  • New Shana Anime to be Shakugan no Shana S OVA Series (from Anime News Network) - The August issue of Dengeki Bunko's magazine will confirm on Friday that the new anime project which was revealed last month is the original video anime (OVA) series. Cast members and will reprise their roles as Shana and Yuuji, respectively. more

  • [January 22, 2010] Fanon Articles are now welcomed! - To open new opportunities for fanfiction writers to expose their crafted characters based on the Shakugan no Shana universe, This Wiki will make a separate section in the Wiki for fan-made characters or any other fanfiction material. Please take note that your submissions must not be found on articles on official/canon info and will be edited to fit a few basic guidelines. The Fanon Guidelines will be available later on.
  • Funimation Streams Selected Episodes of Shakugan no Shana (from Anime News Network) - The official blog of North American anime distributor Funimation has announced that it has posted more episodes to watch for free in their site and their channel in YouTube.   • [January 28, 2010] Light Novel Translation Group Baka-Tsuki Scraps Shakugan no Shana Series from Project List - Yesterday, Baka-Tsuki, one of the very few translation groups for light novels, have decided to shut down the Shakugan no Shana Light Novel Translation Project due to issues with Viz, which holds the license to the publishing of the said light novel series. Last Two Episodes of First Season Available on Streaming Format - Funimation yet again adds another lineup of anime series episodes on their website and their channels in Youtube and Hulu.   • [February 26, 2010] Second Volume of Shakugan no Shana OVA Series Officially Released [UPDATED] - The wait is officially over. The second installment for the OVA series Shakugan no Shana S, entitled Domicile is now available in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats.

  • Last Installment of Shakugan no Shana S OVA Series to be Two-Part Special - According to the official site of Shakugan no Shana, the last two episodes of the OVA series Shakugan no Shana S will be a single story divided in two episodes. It is also confirmed that the title of the last chapter will be Overture.
  • [May 26, 2010] Do You Know About the Light Novels? - We're currently adding characters exclusive to the Light Novels, including the notorious Toten Glocke and its nine powerful Crimson Lords. Right now, however, we're short on people who are able to translate info from the Japanese sites in the Acknowledgments page.     The competition is getting tougher for Shana.
    After losing to Mikoto Misaka, the protagonist of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, she retains her spot as one of the top contenders for the title of 2010 International Saimoe League Champion after defeating Hayate the Combat Butler protagonist Hinagiku Katsura in the Loser's Bracket - with a very tight margin of 150 votes.
  • [September 25, 2010] Shana Blasts Through K-ON Fifth Member - To Face Railgun Protagonist Again in World Voting Contest
    As if Fate (no pun intended) is dictating the course of battle, Shana must prepare to face Railgun's Electric Princess. Again.
    After losing to Mikoto Misaka in their last encounter, the "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter" defeated Hayate the Combat Butler protagonist and previous year's champion Hinagiku Katsura and K-ON!'s Azusa Nakano in the Loser's Bracket.
    Meanwhile, "Biribiri" was defeated by Mio Akiyama, also from K-ON!.
  • [September 28, 2010] Shana Loses Last Chance for Tiara - Retires in Third Place Before Railgun Protagonist in World Voting Contest - One more year of struggles has passed for Shana. After a seemingly uphill battle in the Double Eliminations Round, she finally falls to Mikoto Misaka from Toaru Kagaku no Railgun with only about 50 votes separating the two. In the final standings, she is in Third Place.
    Meanwhile, in the Championship Round, Shakugan no Shana supporting cast Yukari Hirai wins in one exhibition match against Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha supporting cast Alicia Testarossa.

  • [March 05, 2011] Shakugan no Shana Translations Revitalized! - Due to the lack of availability of translated material, fan translator group Baka-tsuki offers to revive their once-abandoned Shakugan no Shana light novel project.
  • [March 13, 2011] Shakugan no Shana Light Novel Illustrator Noizi Itou Draws for Support After Japan Quake - Noizi Itou, the illustrator for the Shakugan no Shana and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series, posted a picture of Haruhi in prayer two days after an earthquake and tsunami shook northeastern Japan last March 11. Noted by Itou herself as "Haruhi offering her prayers", the picture is part of a movement called Draw for Japan, where various artists offer their support.

  • [April 15, 2011] Bluray Releases Lined Up for Shana Anime Series - The official site of the Shakugan no Shana anime project has announced that they will release three Bluray bundles of the anime series. The first Bluray box will include the first season, the second is a Director's Cut version of the first season, and the third will include the second season. Release dates are June 22, July 27 and September 22.
